LABOUR CAN WIN IN MEOLS SO PLEASE VOTE ON MAY 3RD
If you ever voted Liberal Democrat because you feel a vote for Labour is wasted, I can assure you this is no longer the case. During the last election Labour came a very close in Meols.
I am pleased to be your Labour candidate for this year’s local elections. I have lived in Southport since I was 10 years old. I went to Christ the King High School and also attended Southport College. I gained my English degree from the University of Northampton in 1994. I am the Southport Labour's Political Education Officer and also a member of Unison.
I have worked for the NHS for the last 15 years and am currently employed as an NHS administrator based in West Lancashire. I am passionate about protecting the NHS and local Adult Health and Social Care services from the brutal cuts that are being imposed upon our town by this Conservative Government in the name of austerity.
I am also worried about the cuts to our council services, to the police, fire and transport services. So many of us and in particular our elderly citizens in Meols are struggling to get a bus into town or to the hospital due to the reduction in bus services. I am also very concerned about the hospital parking charges and the impact this has regarding the ongoing parking issues.
Should I be elected, I am determined to work hard for the residents of Meols Ward and will continue to campaign for an NHS that will always remain free at the point of care and essential public services that we all deserve. I will work closely with other Labour councillors, hold regular surgeries and always argue for the best deal for Meols and Southport.
