Our Cambridge candidate Joanne Faulkner
Our Cambridge candidate Joanne Faulkner

My name is Joanne Faulkner and I am honoured to stand as your Labour candidate in Cambridge Ward for the council elections on May 4th.

During the pandemic, and for most of my adult life I have worked in domiciliary care across the borough.

I have seen first-hand how some of our most vulnerable neighbours have been let down by the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats and the impact of the last 13 years of savage cuts, taking away support from those that need it most.

For too long, the Conservatives and Lib Dems have taken people for granted here – see overleaf. I believe that you deserve hard work and dedication from your council representatives.

My promise to you – I will:

  • Be accessible and active in the community and council.
  • Listen to the views of local residents – and be responsive.
  • Assist residents struggling with the Conservative Cost of Living Crisis.
  • Provide strong representation for you on Sefton council.
  • Give support to small shops and local businesses – in line with Labour’s plan to reform and reduce business rates.

Voting Labour on 4th May sends the Tories the strong message – your time is up.
