Mhairi is standing for re-election on 5th May 2022 and says:
“I was elected in Norwood in 2018 as one of the first two Labour Councillors ever elected to Sefton Council from Southport. Since then I have been privileged to work hard for my Norwood residents, sorting out their problems. From dog poo to traffic problems, helping residents with benefit issues and planting trees and other issues too numerous to mention. I, with my other ward councillors, funded the Christmas tree and lights and co-funded the planters. We funded the renovation of the playground equipment in Devonshire and Canning Rd parks. We fund skips across the ward each year, to help our residents.
I was asked to join Sefton Cabinet last May with the Children’s Social Care portfolio, a challenging role which I relish and I’m working hard to make our Children’s Service second to none.”
